Leading hand – working foreman
Our client is a supplier of civil works to a number of local Government & road authorities, Tier One Multi-national contractors and private developers.
Some of their Civil Projects include:
- Kerb & gutter construction
- Bulk excavation and construction of pavements.
- Excavation Works
- Road Network Upgrades including Local Government projects
- Construction and Car parking projects.
- Full Construction of car parks
- Subdivision construction
- Pavement stabilisation projects.
Their business has grown and now they seek an experienced Leading hand.
The person
Strong leadership and self-management skills, great work ethic and experience with leading & managing teams. Great organisational and time management skills
The role
This is a practical, “ hands on” role managing and working with a civil construction crews. Travel is an integral component as projects are based around the Mid-North Coast. To be successful in the role, you will need to able to interpret plans and project documents and be a self starter.
Skills and experience required
Essential
Minimum of 5 years working as a leading hand within civil industry including experience in;
- Civil construction supervision.
- Reading and interpreting civil drawings
- Managing Multi disciplined teams
- Operation of Excavators and rollers
Desirable
- Operation of Asphalt Profiling machinery
- Asphalt Paving Machine operation including screeding experience ;
- Civil Estimating experience
