Many businesses in Australia like to say “no worries” when responding to customer praise, but really, is this best reaction? It triggers negative thoughts… was there a problem? when in fact, your customer’s experience was positive!
Almost all cultures have a response to “thank you” and we need to improve ours! Start by training staff to smile, make great eye contact and say “It’s a real pleasure” or “You’re very welcome”!
One of my best experiences was when a Barista responded to me with “I want you to be 100% happy!
Any of these warm, genuine responses will leave a smile on your customer’s face and a lasting positive thought about your business!
