Employment – jobs – statistics

The Department of Employment’s leading indicator of employment fell in January, making it 12 consecutive months without a rise – the longest such run since 2003. The department suggests that this “indicates that employment growth is likely to be below its long-term trend growth rate of 1.2% in coming months”.

So the fight for jobs looks set to continue and despite a nice improvement in some measures of the unemployment rate, it doesn’t look to be getting easier anytime soon.

You can try to “bundle” all three, or you can divide it up, either way, I strong suggest a very basic formula to follow:- S.A.R – Situation/ action / response

Ask yourself: If you could do anything for 8 or 9 hours a day for the rest of your life, and money was no object, what would you really do?

Job to fit the person? or person to fit the job?

A subjective list of skills and experiences is neither objective nor predictive of performance. Instead, why not start off by finding stronger people and modify the job to meet their needs?
